Meet The Team

Hi, I'm Stephanie, I am a qualified 'Dog Behavioural Psychologist' working with dogs 'Natural drives and instincts'; allowing dogs to work out what is required and developing their true potential in a kind and positive way.
I have continued to develop my skills and understanding of dogs by further training, striving to train happy, healthy and well-adjusted dogs.

I have an ever expanding pack that continues to teach me something new everyday. Combined with my training and their natural instinct, I believe I can deliver that knowledge to you.

My pack has given me an amazing opportunity to observe and understand how they communicate, from puppy to adult and into old age. I have learned invaluable knowledge about a balanced pack, a structure that is based on trust, cooperation and well defined roles. No aggression in the pack; just pure calm and assertive energy!

My hobby was 'Dog Showing' before my dogs retired and I have had considerable success in the show ring. The control and confidence that I had in my dogs allowed me to show them to their best advantage.

All my valuable members of the Raw Instinct Training Team have been dogs from my own pack.

IVY

Is the latest addition to join the Raw Instinct Team, following in the 'pawprints' of her Great Grandad 'Ozzy' and Great Aunty 'Honey'.

Ivy has a wonderful loving and high energy personality but when she is working with dogs she displays a very calm energy.

Ivy helps dogs be in her presence at a distance they can cope with.

Helping them to understand not all dogs will invade their personal space, allowing the dogs to strengthen their trust and bond with their owner.

Ivy in her spare time loves zooming around on the fields\river bank and enjoys chasing a ball with the rest of the pack.

HONEY

Was my oldest Psychology dog, Honey worked with me till she was nearly aged 13 (Sadly has now gone over 'Rainbow Bridge').

Honey helped me from a young age to socialise and rehabilitate many dogs.

Honey was an energetic dog and had a passive nonthreatening temperament.

She taught dogs how to greet in a sociable manner without being over excitable or defensive.

Honey also taught dogs that they could be safe, comfortable and happy with her. That gave them confidence and an understanding of the correct way to approach the next dog they met. She taught them that a dog's life can be fun!
Honey lived life to the full and thoroughly enjoyed chasing and retrieving her ball whilst out on the open fields.

Honey was amazing at 'Fun Dog Agility', the tunnel was her favourite!

My 4 legged best friend, forever in my heart.

DARCI & KIKI

Darci was a another member of the Dog Psychology team who worked with me till she was  9.  (Sadly has now gone over 'Rainbow Bridge')

Darci from the age of 1 helped so many dogs understand the process of 'Dog Etiquette'. To help them understand not every dog is a threat. She  allowed them the opportunity to approach and sniff an unknown dog in a sociable and nonthreatening manner.

Darci loved to play fetch, she may have been little but she could run fast!
Darci also achieved her 'Bronze, Silver and Gold 'Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards'.

Kiki started working with me at the age of 6 and helped me until she was 12. (Kiki was Darci's Auntie). (Sadly has now gone over 'Rainbow Bridge')

Kiki helped so may dogs over the years on how to socialise politely.
I had the ability to encourage Kiki to use her unique vocal sounds at specific times, creating a great distraction and this helped me teach dogs on how to ignore noisy dogs too!
Kiki's favourite past time was rolling around the floor on her back with a cuddly toy in her mouth.

OZZY

Ozzy (Sadly has now gone over 'Rainbow Bridge')

Ozzy the only male of the Dog Psychology team having joined me since semi-retiring from the 'Show ring'.
Ozzy worked with me until he was 10 years old and was the litter brother to Honey.

Ozzy brought the male instinct to the team, allowing both male and female dogs to see he was nonthreatening, a well balanced and sociable male dog.

Ozzy's favorite past time was carrying his bed around in his mouth.
